Weekend in Tuscany/Umbria
With Deruta Shopping
Volterra/San Gimignano/Siena/

No passports needed! Depart from
Aviano at 0000 on Friday night and
arrive in Volterra early in the morning
on Saturday. Spend the morning
exploring this beautiful tuscan town
and stop at a lovely café for breakfast.
Depart at around 1030 and arrive in
San Gimignano in time for lunch and some free time in the town. Depart
around 2pm and arrive in Siena for the rest of the afternoon. Take time to
visit the museum, castle and piazza where they hold the famous Paladio
horse race every year. Depart around 630 pm and arrive in time for
dinner and overnight at the hotel (both included - 4* hotel) in the region of
Perugia. Enjoy a night on the town in Perugia after dinner or relax at the
hotel. Sunday morning start off early and part for Umbria region where
we will visit the DeRuta factory and school of Ceramics. Buy factory
direct from the school where they learn the trade. In the afternoon, we
will part around 1130 pm and arrive in Asissi where we will have lunch
and lots of leisure time to explore the ancient town and cathedral made
famous by St. Francis of Assisi. Depart around 4 pm and after a quick
stop for dinner arrive in Aviano late Sunday night. Time is never
guaranteed.
